nce I haven't really mentioned them before (and light of Kaiden's recent demise) let me give a rundown of our Normandy SR1 crew.

Starting on the Helm, there's Jeff "Joker" Moreau. The helmsman of the Normandy. He's a cripple...well not 'cripple' but has seriously brittle bones that makes him not able to fight. I didn't like him through all of ME1 because, he came off as a funny asshole. I think he was compensating for everyone poking fun of his condition. Just the way he said 'Later commander' so flippantly rubbed me the wrong way. For other auxiliary crew we have Chrales Pressly, the semi-optimistic Executive Office and Navigator. Greg Adams, Chief Engineer who can't step away from the seemingly dangerous engine bay. And finally Dr. Chakwas, our lovable Medical Officer who could always go for a nip of the 'ol drink. Pressly was a kind soul, and Chakwas is like a spirit animal.

Next our field agents. The fearless mix of humans and aliens who revel under Shepard's leadership. Let's get the boring humans out of the way first. (I mean, who wants human companions in a game set in SPACE?)

Kaiden Alenko: He is a biotic marine. Kind of bland, and not much to him. He is a bit raciest (alien-est? species-est?) and didn't leave too much of a mark, unless you count his charred pieces on planet Virmire. He was outfitted with the controversial L2 biotics which cause neurological damage, so really, I was doing him a favor.

Ashley Williams: Another human. Again, a bit bland, but more interesting than Kaiden, also again a bit raciest. She enlisted into the Alliance in the shadow of her father, in an attempt to rectify his mistakes and reform their name. Not as much as a general dick as Kaiden.

Now, we move onto the more interesting companions. Our Alien friends.

Urdnot Wrex: Big 'ol mean machine. This Krogan fell into Shepard's service from being a former mercenary. Under his tough exterior, is an intelligent mind with a teddy-bear heart. He still is rough around the edges, literally and metaphorically. When I first met him, I only saw a loud brute, but he has been growing on me little by little.

Garrus Vakarian: A nice blue hunk o' Turian. He is the bro-est of bros and always has my back. If Liara wasn't around he'd be next in line for the lovin'. He was formerly part of C-sec and has an almost compulsion to be fixing guns or the like. He's a smooth talker and a crack shot. Had him in my party since I found him. He and Wrex hang out in the cargo bay most of the time.

Tali'Zorah nar Rayya: The Quarian Machinist. The 'nar' part of her name is because she is still on her pilgrimage, and not yet recognized as an adult by the migrant fleet. Her innocent manner, hidden behind the mask, made her an intrigue ever since I met her. I kept her by my side even after I learned she wasn't interested in the female persuasion. Her Tech abilities along with her attack drone, Chatika are very helpful. She likes to spend her time in the engine room.

Liara T'Soni: Our nerdy waifu. An Asari scientist obsessed with Prothean ruins. She's sweet, kind, and determined. At 'only' 106 she is barely an adult for an asari (who lives at least 1000 years). Her shy, honest nature and simple wonder at discovery won me over. When she first melds with Shepard to help understand the artifact, I knew she was the one. It was already such an intimate encounter, and compelled me into her arms. I could always

find her studying some relic in the ship's lab.

That's the crew. Let's get back into spaaaace.
