Last we met I had become a prestigious Fire Breather . Yet none were around to share my joyous next steps. And I was content in the knowledge I was alone in this great shit-hole of a world.
I made my way into the city, meeting the only other sentient form of life, Grahm the super mutant. I almost shot him at first, but after hearing about his meat for almost 5 minutes, I continued on my way towards the ash heap. Thankfully, I had my new Fire Breather helmet on to protect me against the miasma as I explored around this ashen land.
As I explored I saw a massive structure over the crest of a hill. The largest excavator in the(this) world. I had to see it up close.

As I approached was ambushed by the first deathclaw I've seen. I trucked it into a nearby building and attempted to snipe it to death, but it fucked off before I could kill it dead. Stumbled upon vault 63, but sadly there was nobody home.
And then there it was. The giant excavator. It was a defensible position, and before I knew it, I had 25 turrets set up to defend my claim.
Well it was time to finally search that radio transmission I'd heard of. Off towards 'Top of the World'. As I trekked off to the tower in the distance, I came upon an unorthodox oasis in this barren land. The Whitespring Golf Club. It had been kept in fairly good shape due to the legion of robots that inhabited it. Strange how no people were around to share in the success of this place. Upon entering the hotel and rifling thru all their trash, I learned the robits 'evicted' anyone without a standing reservation...ouch.
Having finally made it to the 'Top of the World', my hopes were once again dashed. No human was broadcasting the radio signal, but another Handy unit, Rose. Somehow she was coded to emulate her former Raider boss, and fully thought she was a badass strung out on chems. She sent me on some errands that seemed like nonsense, but well, what could I do, she had information I needed.
*Cue the montage as epic music plays*
All that running around for a sword? Oh, and information about the Free states. I guess that's good too.
