With my newfound information about the Free States, I set off east in search of what they left behind. Wading though the mountains, I came upon the city of Huntersville. Once a off-the-beat town, now teeming with super mutants. Hacking a few terminals, I discovered West-Tek was lacing the water, turning the citizens into super mutants. The BoS tried to clean up their mess, but was unfortunately take out.
Continuing on my soiree of drugs, I ventured upon the Palace of the Winding Path. A cult took over this now defunct place of worship and turned it into a mind-altering pit of 'dreams' While the scenery was beautiful, there wasn't much to find.
Then. Then the Mansion of Mystery. This was indeed a mysterious place. As I ventured into what seemed an ordinary orphanage, I was met by electric barriers. I had to figure out what was going on. A clue let me to equip this veil, and suddenly, the path was opened. I was in Mystery HQ.
Another epic montage of me forging thru the ranks of Mystery to make my way to the top. Unfortunately, becoming a "Mystress" only gave me a crappy sword and ugly uniform. But I did see a few interesting things along the way. I picked up the 'Mysterious Stranger' perk because I felt it to be in the spirit of things. I'm guessing he's just a hallucination of a lonely Wanderer.
Mucking thru the swamp proved it's own set of challenges with a GIANT sloth and floating Yaoi Guai. I did win a modest prize from the prize bot (how he found me is in question) but finally I arrived at a Free States bunker. I was met at the door with a (yet another) recording from Abbie giving me insight on the Scorchbeast Dection System (SDS) they were cooking up.
And on that note, I made camp and fell asleep, watched over by my new deity, Mr. Pebbles.
