So there are no NPC's. Well that's not actually true. There are Mr. Handy and computers that will talk to you, but they don't really have character. There's also been recorded broadcasts that will give quests when you are in an area, but still... the character is lacking. One of my favorite things from FO4 was Nick Valentine, the Synth detective. Not to say there isn't an odd pleasure I get from exploring the vast nothingness and following clues left by the recently departed.

I start the day following the Overseer's trail down memory lane once again. It takes me to her hometown of Mogantown. I guess some of my fellow Vault-dwellers came here before me.

So after I beat up ghoules in her old highschool and then at Vault-Tech University, I continue the Responder's quest of learning about this wasteland.

So off toward Graffin(m?) I go. I swing by the old Penitentiary and Prickett's Fort before arriving. In Graffin I find the "mayor" an assistant computer that has voted itself into office. I'm pretty sure it's voiced by Nathan Fillion. He loads me up with a few quests and I start off towards one of my now many objective markers.

Machine mayor sends me off to Wave Willards, a waterpark to turn on the water (as if someone will swim in it) I stumble upon a Ms. Handy that puts me on a Cold Case quest.

But first I head over to a hunting lodge where I find a (very similar) Game Keeper computer that sets me up with killing some 'rare game'. All the while I'm hopping in and out of the Responder's quest picking up details of how the Scorched are actually a virus created by some giant, flying Scorched Beasts!

All the while I keep picking up more and more junk because I'm confused on how CAMPS work and don't want to fuck it up. About 400lbs overweight so I'm alternating sprinting and crawling until I can offload some junk. I gathering the Scorched information and head back towards Graffim. On my way I pass by another player's camp which makes me think I need to settle down Soon. I stumble across a Dweller who is marked as a murderer and kill him. I guess he was happy I took his negative status away. Back in the city I'm killed by super mutants, game crashes and loose most my craftables. I'm so mad I forget to even screencap the bastards that killed me. At least I'm back to a normal weight.

I start the Cold Case quest, which is to find out what happened to this pre-war kid. On my way I find a mens and womens 'restroom' notice the difference?

Turns out the kid was taken by an uncle who was trying to get back at his brother for being a war-mongering dick. He locks himself and the kid up in the Damn where the kid then 'Home Alone' traps the place, killing the uncle.

I'm still getting my bearings and trying too much at once. That's why this entry was so random. I need to focus more on one objective and get my CAMP set up so I'm not wandering around with so much shit.
