Sniper Elite 4: Welp, that’s the end.

Geez, It’s over already?
Next major mission was Giovi’s Mansion, where Rothbauer is meant to die. This was quite a large map and I circled around it for a while. Nothing too exciting besides some gunfights and a boat takedown. Had to ‘sneak’ up to Rothbauer guns blazing and wound up lobbing a grenade in his door.
And suddenly, but finally Allagra Fortress. The last and only mission that seemed to have any stakes involved. If our hero didn’t succeed in locating the plans, Eisenhower would be no more. After sabotaging a factory that later a bombing run would destroy anyway, a MAJOR PLOT TWIST happens. Oh, and about 5 minutes into this mission all sound stopped playing. I restarted the game, reloaded…nothing. OH WELL.

After calling for the UK bombers our well groomed hero is snuck up on by the Natzi guy that wants Eisenhower deded. To prevent him from turning our grizzled hero to mincemeat, Angel sacrifices herself for Karl, the comed hair commando, while Natziman runs to his plane.

Then, the most ‘dramatic’ part of the game happens. We get to shoot down his plane. The visuals are good, but gameplay wise, and for being the story’s climax, it fell waaaaay short. Just had to shoot the engines a few times and *boop* plane was down.

ANNNND Game end. A few words to say the war isn’t ACTUALLY over, and zoom out on the saved Italiana.

Overall I’d give Sniper Elite 4 a 6/10. First impressions were great, and then it fell into a monotony, relying on it’s killcam to pad repetitive gameplay and dull story. Also no shooting Hitler in the balls. That would have definitely added points.
