Game introduced a few new characters, counter-sniping and satchel charges, but it turns out you can just throw grenades at the wall, too. Oh, and found out the protag’s name: Karl Fairburne. Blew up a few more trucks and “saved” a lady who called herself the Angel. I think switching to Hard was just the right amount of challenge. I actually died a few times, and it made the tension of not getting caught that much better.

Then off to the Viaduct. I really enjoyed this map. There were tanks to shoot, trains to blow up and pilots to find. The gameplay element here was to time snipe shots to the artillery going off, but it got old real fast. The shots just took too long to happen and it spiraled out of control into an all out war before long. I was interested in the downed plane buuuut when you got to the crashed plane, you just blew it up some more with little actual exploration. However, the scenery and map layout still made the Viaduct really fun. I was disappointed there was no exfiltration, the mission abruptly ends after you detonate the bridge.

Next mission was at a dockyard. Mother Hen aka HQ radioed in for us to find out what the Nazis were shipping. At the end of it, the docks just got bombed, so I guess my info gathering was a success..,but why also have me blow up the guns? My covert operation ended with quite a bang. Oh yeah, I’ve been cheating this whole time with aim assist. Let’s turn that off.
Heading over to a monastery to kill “some” dudes for a mobster to get him on our side. Shooting dudes in vineyards, in shreets, in fortifications, in churches… Just shooting LOTS of dudes. Oh, can we talk about hat-man’s accent for a second? I know the cliche for Italians is to add “ah” at the ends of words (pizza pie-a) but HOLY SHIT he fucking lathered them on to every word he could.
Been enjoying it so far. Wish the story wasn’t just told in the first 2 minutes of prep where you are on some random island, but it could be worse. I’m gradually getting the hang of actual sniping hurrdurr.
